I have installed on my computer windows 7 Ultimate x86 and i want upgrade it with installation dvd.
This it is not possible because setup when checks compatibilty stops and tells me that free disk space is insufficient for allocation of installation files. But my hard disk has 36 Gigabites free space. I have checked my hard disk and it is OK.What is the problem ? And what i can do to solve the question. I have activate my system by Windows 7 loader Extreme EDition and when i deactivate the system this tells me that the copy is not authentic and stops. What can i do for upgrading( not clean install) my system? Thank you in advance

How much used space is there? Windows when it upgrades will preserve the old isntallation in case you want to revert back. Listen to the installer and do what it says, clean some junk off your hard drive, use ccleaner, uninstall usless applications and it may be helpfull to perform all of the maintenance on your computer before you upgrade (defrag, virus scan, registry maintenance with wise registry cleaner or something similar). Be aware that upgrade installs blow little pigmie goats, I mean they suck, take forever an import all of your problems from the old installation to the new installation.

    Clean install is much better.
