Windows 7 SP1 RTM

    So I downloaded this Windows 7 SP1 RTM EXE, let me start from the begining,

    1. I moded my BIOS with SLIC 2.1 for HP/COMPAQ

    2. I installed windows 7 ultimate

    3. I ran windows update & updated all the essensial update's

    4. Then I used Windows Loader by DAZ to activate windows 7

    now can I install Windows 7 SP1 RTM EXE or windows update did that already ?

    Click on the start button, type winver in the search or run box. In the popup, does it say SP1?

    No it does not say SP1.

    Windows 7 Update says to update to sp1 & is downloading it already.

    Why did you mod your BIOS and use a loader? You could have avoided using a loader by installing the certificate and key.

    But there is no key for HP/COMPAQ Windows 7 Ultimate ?

    You have to match the slic with the certificate only ..... The key for windows 7 ultimate isn't brand specific ....all of them will serve for your machine .....

    Windows loader by daz knows what it will do in response to what it sees in the system. If it detects the presence of slic 2.1 in memory, it accordingly installs only the appropriate certificate and product key, otherwise the entire loader is installed. Nothing to be concerned about. ;)
