I would like to make a fresh install Windows 7 SP1. I would prefer to do this today rather than wait for the official release. From what I read on these forums, Microsoft have not yet enabled Windows Update to install updates for Windows 7 SP1 including files such as those required for .NET 4 etc. Would the above statement be correct? If not then my best option would be to install from the Windows 7 SP1 ISO. If true then would the alternative be to install Windows 7, complete all updates from Windows Update and then install SP1? My preference would be to install from the Windows 7 SP1 ISO. Just what is the situation here? Thank you for any help.
Windows updates already works with SP1... has been since tuesday... optional updates aren't available yet, but should be once it hits general release on the 22nd.... we may see it sooner as SP1 is getting released to MSDN/technet members next tuesday just install SP1 now, or wait a few days if you want to make absolutely sure the leaked ISOs are the same as the MSDN ones
I Think no need install all updates from Windows Update. Just install SP1. I Have done install SP1 yesterday. "Programs and Features --> Installed Updates" (Control Panel) Show me only updated from January to February. Before that it listed arround 70+ update.
