Thanks a lot guys, i've got the official one now. So i will post my question in Daz's thread as you said. Many thanks.
After asking the other day if SP1 was anything more than a wrapup of updates I researched and found it is really a service pack aimed squarely at Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm one windows 7 user that won't bother installing it as a service pack - I may consider downloading an official integrated M$ iso when they appear but it appears SP1 will offer nothing to 7 users that can't be obtained via Windows Update. Why bother ???? Oh, that's right - boredom with 7 has set in already and SP1 offers that "something new" fix that lots of users seem to require.
I installed the service pack on a Virtual Machine just to check if my thing worked cause out of curiosity... And just for the hell of it lol... @ timesurfer lol....
Just installed SP1 beta, to see if the DAZ loader would have any problems, nope, nary a one. not sure if it fixed anything, but, what the heck... Ray
It is. I installed it yesterday, but removed it today due to the water mark at the lower right corner. Alas, windows update put it back on, as I did register it...at least the watermark is no longer visible. Ray
i read it has an expiry date and will need to uninstall the beta then install the official one when released.so might as well wait for the official final release.
And now a question about SP1 performance. Please share thought and experiance whit SP1. Did You get some performance changes, features, security, glitches....
Every beta Service Pack has expiry date even since XP, that is why you should only install on test machines or have backup image of your system or use Virtual machine.
