Not unless the user or a company decides to pay MS for custom support which will last until January 2023. And only applies if you are using the VL versions of Professional or Enterprise.
For me Windows 7 have had it's 15 minutes of fame since long, there is nothing in Windows 7 that I can't do better in Windows 10 these days. As with 95, 98, 2000, XP and Vista, Windows 7 is now a relic that's not worth the time digging up. Let it rot in it's doomed tomb.
I live on Windows 8.1 I love it and will continue living with until the hardware dies or something that I can't install it again. For those who wants 7 it's just fine to live attached to their beloved one lol. They like silent and peaceful places like me. Not the joke W10 is. Fwiw it's joke for me and others, perhaps not for you and many others.
do i have an upgrade plan? oh sure, the moment the first malware hits my w7 pc, [ unlikely;as i switch on brain while on the www,] i will upgrade to linux mint. not downgrade to w10.
How's 8.1 compared to 7 (and by extension, 10) ? I actually jumped from 7 to 10 when it was out so never had a chance to try it.
Its 10 without the crap, remove store and apps with msmg toolkit, add a few tweaks including abbodis w10 block script. Its a good os if your hardware has drivers for it.
i tried both windows 10 and 8.1, they are actually good but there are a lot of things that pissed me off and most of it just caused by using HDD becuz those versions of windows works well with SSD especially windows 10 and if you have HDD you will face 100% disk usage problem and pc becomes not usable at all, of course there are some workarounds for it like disabling services of superfetch, search, hibernate and fast boot too, but that's just not a solid solution you just need to replace HDD with an SDD, but for the time being after using windows 8.1 for few months, now i'm back again width windows 7 and i feel like the pc has got a fresh look and performance in everyway for example just booting windows is much faster than 8.1 and 10, really really fast i think i will stick to windows 7 whatever happened and i hope they extend support another five years again lol
