Hi All, I have this laptop which was preinstalled with windows 7. The owner suffered a HD failure and asked me to fix it, so i fired in a spare HD and reinstalled windows, but none of the Toshiba SLIC certificate appears to work with the key/SLIC entry in the bios. Does anyone have any suggestions short of flashing the bios with a BIOS mod to get it to activate? Thanks Joe
Ah @Bat.1 Sorry didn't relies this was as new as that! It came with windows 7 on it with a faulty disk - Just about seen the boot up screen before it died! I installed Windows 7 Ultimate in legecy BIOS mode. That'll explaine why the SLIC table in the BIOS dosn't work. What are my options - Would i be best to install windows 8.1 and hope it activates? I don't have a serial though which is my problem too.
