Hi! So the story is... I bought this laptop one month ago. It had Linux pre-installed, so I installed Windows 7 Ultimate. I unchecked KB971033 update and pretty much thought I'm safe from there. At least that's how it's on my home computer. Well... today I got warning and of course black screen saying my Windows is not genuine. My copy of Windows is the one with Lenovo blacklisted key: *****************************. So ok, I typed slmgr.vbs -upk in cmd to uninstall Lenovo key and then picked valid W7 Ultimate HP key from "Windows 7 OEM SLP Key Collection" intalled it, rebooted and went online to validate it. Validation did not succeed. The reason for this I later discovered is I do not have SLIP 2.1 Bios. SLIC ToolKit V3.2 displays: Dump Error ! (SLIC Table Not found ! ) Bios Information: Vendor: Hewlett-Packard Version: 68AZZ Ver. F.0B Date: 09/16/2010 Type: Others BIOS /ACPI 2.0 Size: 2560K It's the latest bios atm. SLIC Diagnosis: This is only information it can retrieve XSDT: HPQOEMSLIC_MPC RSDT: HPQOEMSLIC_MPC I would post screenshots but forum rules do not allow me (need 20 posts). Now I've been searching for HP 2.1 SLIC bioses and only found HP Compaq ones. Is there a solution to change my bios to SLIC 2.1 so I can validate my W7?
