Basically on my old systems I've always gone and added a modified BIOS with slic 2.1 and used a handy tool afterwards to install the key and certificate. On my new system this is proving somewhat harder and before I go and do it I need some things checked. First i've been reading about horror stories of bricks and my handy tool for keys and certificates refuses to work. RW everything refuses to work which has caused problems with requests though i managed to get a request done in the award and AMI bios mod requests thread on this site simply posting the BIOS file.

What I want to know is how safe this method is and if it works what is the best way to install the key and certificate?

My current set up is as follows

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (installed under UEFI mode)
    Motherboard: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe
Hard Drive: 3TB NTFS formatted drive using GPT

I modded the BIOS using the BIOSBAK command provided and installed the key and certificate along with a restart but still its not activated

You don't by any chance have the full instructions for doing it on a system such as mine?

Thanks for that, seems the BIOS has not installed properly
