Hi, I have Windows 7 Ultimate OEM DVD released by BIE and I have accidentally infected it with WAT(Windows Activation Technologies). I know there are a lot of posts on many forums about this, and I have searched here and googled, but not everyone is using the same Windows-release. Therefore I want to know, what to do specifically in my situation. I know of the three softwares Windows 7 Loader, RemoveWAT and Chew-WGA, and as I have read is that Chew-WGA isn't as good as the other two, and that Windows 7 Loader is best in most cases. Please correct me if I am wrong about this. Therefore I have decided to go with Windows 7 Loader. I haven't used it yet or any other software such as these, because I want to be sure, and, as I have read, this new WAT infection is more difficult to get rid off. Microsoft says that you can uninstall WAT, but that, as I have also read, doesn't completely fix the problem. So should I uninstall WAT first or directly use the Windows 7 Loader. I have also read, that you should write "slmgr.vbs -rearm" in command prompt before using Windows 7 Loader, but what should I do in my case. I apologize, if you have seen similar posts, but I just want to do it right the first time. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance from baseman007
Procerdure to remove WAT is always the same, Uninstall it in controlnpanel, uninstall laoder (maybe), then validate at MS website.. Or you can (which is the best way and most safe), reinstall windows 7 and use 7Loader or any autoactivating dvdkit from MDL.
