I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 edition which I rarely use. The last time I booted it several months ago it was activated using a Bios Slic mod and Dell certificate and OEM key. I did install an updated Slic Modded Bios two or three months back and I am fairly sure that it was working and still genuine after that although I am not 100% certain that I checked this install. I also have Windows 7 Ultimate x86 installed and that functions okay. I have just booted and been told that windows is not genuine with the black screen. I did change my video card some months ago from ATI to nVidia and when I booted windows was in a low resolution and installing drivers. I have sorted that out but the not genuine is still present. I have checked the certificate and it is present, I have re-installed it and the product key but still the problem remains. I have not installed any updates since the 8th May and I am sure that I avoided any M$ updates to check for cracks etc. I don't have windows auto install updates, it checks but I have it set so that I have to allow updates. Can anyone tell me why I am getting this? These are all the updates installed this year, some are from 2009. i have the same problem as he is and I have tried validating it but still has the problem. I dont know what to do now.
@ RedDwarf you didn't state you used dell key on your first post you only stated you used Dell certificate and OEM key not everyone matches keys to certificate that why I mentioned the blacklisted levono one. None of the Dell keys have been blacklisted they are still working.
