Are you certain this was an untouched iso those tables don't seem correct ASUS_Notebook and dell or is this an asus machine that came with vista i,e, slic 2.0 and you added dell slic 2.1.

Yup, Same retail install i have used for every other install for the last few years(never had an issue in the past on this or any other machine) , it is an ASUS motherboard ( asus p8z68-v pro) that i added the Dell 2.1 slic to when windows 7 first came out. i will try to reflash the bios with an asus slic and see if that fixes it and report back

You shouldn't need to validate online if using commandline for OEM.

I had a similar issue before, turns out that when I installed the cert, I used the incorrect command. I used the -rilc option (which means re-install) instead of -ilc (i.e. clean install). Running commandline with the correct option solved it for me. :)

Don't confuse online activation with online validation. Validation tells you whether MS considers you genuine, which will only happen if you are properly activated, or in a temporary grace period.

OEM-SLP does not require online activation, while OEM-NONSLP does. Either can be flagged non-genuine by wat under certain conditions, and revalidation may be needed to flush the non-genuine status.

Thanks for clearing this up! I had assumed that activation and validation are one and the same, now I know better. :)
