Hello, I tried to search but must not be using the right keywords and there is an everwhelming amount of post that just speak about the leak of RTM. I am in need of assistance in getting the RTM from WZT to avtivate with my MSDN key. The ISO works great for my retail keys. I am confused as Windows 8 from WZT works with my Retail and my MSDN key but Windows 8.1 from WZT will only work with my Retail key. Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but I could not find it, any help with be great. Thanks
If you have the proper leak, and if you install it with the proper method (key) to validate the install, then if your MSDN Key is still GOOD, not blacklisted (as many are) or over the limit as many are then use the cscript as indicated by M$. I only know of one way to say-very simple-very easy 1.) logo +x 2.) command prompt as admin 3.) slmgr -ipk (25Digit key goes here) 4.) click the enter key 5.) you will get 1 or 3 responses back. a.) key is blacklisted b.) key is overlimit c.) key successful entered. if you get C then 1.) slmgr -ato 2.) click enter key and see if you next response is you now activated. My MAK key was response Over the Limit My Retail key was accepted and Activated.
Retail Channel, works with with Windows 8 MSDN ISO or WZT ISO. Let me be more clear I am not only not able to activate but Windows 8.1 says my key is invalid for this edition. Also this was just posted, having same issue as a guy here saying his key is invalid. Can post links yet =(
Hello, I could not even install with MSDN the key on 8.1 had to do ei.cfg to get to desktop. Desktop will not even take the key. I just installed Windows 8 WZT ISO right now and it works for install and activation its just 8.1 "slmgr -ipk" also says its not valid
game is very simple: Install with gereric key and activate with your current genuine Technet/Msdn/ bought Key and you are activated after all
Then might we ask what is your key. Retail OEM UPGRADE MAK and so far only Retail Windows 8.1 Pro and Pro WMC has or can be Activated...

My key is MSDN and Fresh Install: Windows 8 WZT ISO = Works with install and activation Windows 8 MSDN ISO = Works with install and activation Windows 8.1 WZT = Will not install, used ei.cfg to get to desktop. slmgr -ipk will not take key says invalid. Can not even enter a key much less try to activate it.
Either your very dense or very stupid ... 1.) you have to install WZT with the provided key.. no other key will allow install. 2.) and million of us have MDSN Genuine KEYs... MAK will not work no matter what. 3.) Enterprise will not activate NO MATTER WHAT. 4.) YOU HAVE TO install the way WZT told you to install. 5.) you can only Activate Retail Pro and Retail ProWMC. 6.) MAK key will not activate and will be be accepted... nothing else works... Admin sorry I'll behave now...
