Hi, I just got an iso of Windows 8.1 pro x64 bit. I have currently windows 8 pro activated with kms and then i added the windows media pack to get media center. However i want to install 8.1 but don't know how I can activate it. Can someone please guide me though it. THANKS!!!
Open your web browser. Go to Amazon.com Search windows 8.1 Add to cart. Buy. Enter the key and activate.
Install it from STORE. It will keep your activation and generate a new data.dat and tokens.dat. You may backup those files for a future reinstall.
Well the other thread says the updated with success. However i can't even see the update in the store for some reason. I installed windows 8 via kms and then updated with the media center key for permanent activation. Still i can't see the windows 8.1 in the store. Help?

i mean , you need to download win 8.1 ISO, burn it to a usb or dvd, boot your pc to the win 8.1 media, and install cant upgrade kms activated win 8. It is easy

your W8 copy is activated using KMS which means that you are on a volume channel. Volume is not visible in Store, only retail can see the 8.1 offer. Go and download your version of 8.1 from the 8.1 repository and upgrade or make a clean install upon your choice
