Hi Everyone! I noticed today that my company's VLSC had Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 KMS Host keys. Has anyone else seen this? It would also be interesting to know if anyone has actually tried using these. Thanks!
One other has seen them and are working apparently. I am waiting on something like this too. Nothing yet.
I wonder if MS will do anything to people who use these KMS host keys early. There legit, so I would think its ok, but who knows what MS will do these days.
yeah who knows is right. I assume nothing will come of it, but when mine show on radar Ill wait till OCT. Id hate to have the company I work for fix my stupidity haha
I don't think they'd care unless the PID from the kms host key started showing up all over sites like this one. In that case it would most likely mean that someone leaked the activation files. IMO it's probably only a short matter of time before we get something like that and someone figures out how to make a vm activator again...
@murphy78: That's probably true, being that having a legit key technically means you have a valid license. I hate this "Ahhh Shinny" thing. It's like having both the key for the car and the car, but told you can't drive it till October. lol ^Hopefully I didn't leave any personal info in that image.... That would be awkward.
Cool thanks. Hope you should have the MAK Keys too then where you will get about 2500 acts. Max. Because I just checked the higher level agreement Select Plus it doesn't have one.
They did issue me MAK keys for both as well, I just didn't include that search result in the screen shot. It's interesting that these keys being issued in VLSC is not too prevalent right now.
