Hello, I have a small tip perhaps some of you should be aware of it already, though i couldn't find that tip here, so I am posting here. How to skip Microsoft Account login? 1. During installation while configuring the user account it will as for a Microsoft account Login - Enter anything@anything.com and blabla in the respective fields - press enter. 2. It may ask for a Security Code to verify because the account doesn't exist or confirm it is yours. 3. Voila you will be able to "see" Create Local Account. Just click on it and enjoy. Cheers
you can also disconnect ethernet/wifi during install and go directly to local account. By why, most of the systems best parts use the live ID lol
Click the link at the bottom to create a new account. Then click the link at the bottom of the next screen to use a local account. No need to disconnect from the network. No need to enter incorrect logins.
But u won't be able to download any from windows store? If no microsoft account is set up. (I hope EU will telling microsoft to removed that off)
For me, and this is my own opinion. Everything in the store is junk anyway. I opened it once months ago and I opened it the other day to confirm updates for the apps that come with windows lol
I use the Administrator account and have NEVER even seen the store. If I wanted a store I would have purchased iOS or a MAC !
You can still use the Store. When you try to use a Metro app that requires a Microsoft Account, it will ask if you want to convert your local account to a Microsoft account. But it also gives you the option to sign in to that particular app using a Microsoft account without converting your entire user account. "Sign into each app separately instead" I prefer it this way: my login account is a local account. The Store uses my main Microsoft account (there are some good free games like Wordament that I'm addicted to). Games like Wordament use my old Microsoft account (that I had used for GFWL, so all my gaming data is there). And there are some apps where I use a third testing account. I like having this kind of granular control.
You can not sign in with a MS account for install, but still use hotmail/outlook account for installing from store. The sign in is for the store only as mentioned in the above thread Sign into each app separately instead. Perhaps people should try doing things instead of asking 10 questions before proceeding further.
