You change the product key with your legit 8.x retail or oem key:
    "SLUI 2"

AKA buy it if you want it to be permanent.
Being as you're working on someone else's system, I'd assume you're getting paid.
If you're getting paid, you should never be asking us how to cheat MS to make money.

I didnt understant nothing, sorry...what i need to do ?

LE: No its a family friend. Im not getting paid. So bottom line i assume there is no way to simply activate windows 8.1, permanent without a license ?

Without a license there's no truly permanent activation possible. The times of SLIC are over.

Best bet is using one of the MDL KMS solutions. Some have a task refreshing activation periodically so it never runs out. This is as close to permanent as you can get (without spending $$$/€€€/¥¥¥/...).
Normally Windows 8.1 Core doesn't support KMS, but it works nonetheless, using a KMS emulator. I recommend MTK and simply pressing the 'Easy' button.

Oh yeah, you need to exclude the KMS stuff from Antivirus and similar programs. MS teams with security software makers and flags the files as Hacktool or similar.

Ok then, the guy uses antivirus software, so i assume there is a no go :(

Basically if a grab another version of 8.1 to make it easier to activate, still a no go, with antivirus...

They want you to buy Windows, for obvious reasons.

You could try AutoKMS with Microsoft Toolkit set to Tap Adapter and just warn your friend that if he installs security software like an a/v program he can screw up the activation.

Like I said, all Windows 8.x versions can be activated by KMS. Some officially, some only by emulator. For best KMS experience aim for PRO or Enterprise, those get 180 days per activation. Core, ProWMC ond other non-VL get 30 days (8.0) or 45 days (8.1).

You just need to exclude the AutoKMS stuff in the Antivirus so it doesn't get scanned and deleted. Needs to be done only one time. Then AutoKMS takes care of the reactivation and the counter never drops (much).

And how AutoKMS works, its one .exe or what i didnt saw the download link here... Basically after install of windows 8.1 pro, i click on that then will activate, then exclude from antivirus scan, then what ? It will re-arm itself endless ?

autokms is an activator included in Microsoft toolkit.
get the program and it will be self-explanatory.
it has a readme button in there somewhere that explains everything.

Ok so basically autokms works for win8.1 pro, only needs to be hidden from antivirus, is that right ?

well... I'd suggest setting it to TAP adapter in the settings. A/V programs don't seem to mess with that as much as the secohook method

Negative, you exclude the activator (c:\windows\autokms\autokms.exe)

The only things that are likely to affect the activation are upgrading to a different OS, or installing an over-zealous anti-virus program.
