    I am able to use my existing local account, I'm not connected to internet during the whole setup process..

    You used iso or updated via store?

    When MS account is failing during Setup, option for local account is offered :D.

    Using an ISO to setup without internet connection allows you to use a local account for installation.

    For me it worked to enter fake data, then error text appeared with embedded hyperlink to create local account. No need to go offline here.

    Thanks, looks like this part of FAQ is now solved. What about those WMC keys which Microsoft was giving away, they work?

    Not shure how they will solve this in RTM, but now if you upgrade Win 8 Pro with Media Center, it will become Win 8.1 Pro Preview with Media Center. Interestingly there is no Watermark, i just realized.

    Using add features from "system" screen. Tried my key and MTK, wouldn't work. MTK just sat there doing nothing. Enter the new key in (from the post linked above) "change product key" and activated. But still watermarked after reboot.

    What i meant was, did you upgrade to Preview or installed it freshly?

    Still timebombed :D.
