Hi, We have three machines still running xp but can't use some programs due to deprecated os. I don't remember specs but they're higher than 2.5 GHz cpu and 3+ gb ram (older than ddr3). Should I install windows 8.1 or windows 7 to them? I think windows 7 more logical because it's older and supported system but support will be end in 2020, nearly 1.2 years, in other side windows 8.1 will use more sources than windows 7 but will supported more than win7. We generally using these pcs for doing some stuff over internet. If I should install windows 7, I can able to avoid some trashy updates (like telemetry) with simplix update pack. But If I should install windows 8, I don't know how to avoid some trashy updates. Is there any viable option like simplix for win8 side? (I know solution were posted but I can't find it. I can't use forums very well, It's kind a complicated to me. Must watch 5-6 or 10+ pages in old thread for finding some stuff) I'm looking forward to answers, thank you & have a great day/night. EDIT: Installed Windows 7 SP1 with simplix pack, installed drivers with SDIO and done. YAY! I don't think I get matter amount of performance loss.
