Hello, I have a noise laptop that comes from my fan. I Reinstalled my laptop Windows 8.1 with all updates, opened taskmasenger and gives at CPU 1 to 5% and memory 20% Laptop, 8GB RAM DDR3 Windows 8.1 PRO Intel 5 3-gen. All drivers installed. No heavy programms.
Possibly, the fan vent is clogged with debris. Get a compressed canister of air and us it to blow out the debris.
Hardware Problems aside : Have you installed the Graphics Drivers ? For Example AMD Laptops run hot until catalyst is installed .
There are 3 kinds of fan noise. 1) Really fast spinning fan noise 2) Clipping against internal cords or such 3) Bad bearings or other internal rotational part issues If your issue is just fast spinning fan noise, you might try modifying graphics settings or other software settings. If your system isn't designed for win8, you should know that win8 is a lot more demanding than win7. It multi-threads everything and uses your ram more aggressively. If your system is only designed for win7, and it has poor airflow, you might need to re-install win7.
