I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro (activated with KMSpico) for about two years without any activation problems. I'm wishing to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Several websites are saying that upgrading would be available in this type of activated Windows but eventually Windows 10 Pro will not be activated. 1) Will Windows 10 Pro be activated after upgrade if upgrading from KMSpico activated Windows 8.1 Pro? 2) I was just going through MDL Forum threads - 64770 (How-to-upgrade-from-W7-8-1-without-going-through-the-complete-upgrade-process). Is it working as of now? Thanks & regards,
I have built up two new gaming rigs for my son and his mate. I went from 8.1 to 10 with one and 7 to 10 with the other. Used Daz's loader for 7 and KMS for 8.1. Both worked a treat. Will be doing my daughters lappy from 8.1 to 10 also, but no KMS needed.. I did it the long way though. I know of the quick method but never done it. I did not mind taking the long route. I have done all my Win 10 updates onto a separate drive to the working OS drive cause all the ones I have done the people wanted their original OS but the Win 10 update for future reference. Once the update is done I would do a total fresh install of Win 10 just to finish the job of neatly. If Win 10 is what you want.
Thanks for your reply. I too don't mind taking long route. I'm not so good in English so please do confirm whether I'm correct in understanding your reply- Windows 8.1 Pro -> Update to Windows 10 Pro using "Get Windows 10 (GWX icon)" -> Clean installation of Windows 10 Pro using, say, Windows 10 Pro ISO Thanks & regards.
Thanks for reply. Can you please throw some light on "upgrade by using the 10 Multiple Editions iso instead of WU"? Thanks again & regards.
