    Can i use a licence key of windows pro on a dvd of a Pro VL Edition please ?

    no will not work. VL needs MAK/KMS key

    VL edition of Pro can be converted to retail/OEM as well.

    Yes that's true, retail key can be used on Pro VL and the MAK Key can be used on 8.1 Pro Retail, vice versa

    Tried converting VL to retail edition using a retail key. Sure I managed to activate it after ringing Microsoft and using my key which I transferred from another old computer, but VL remained VL even when I managed to get it activated with a retail key.

    Yes, changing key change VL to Pro, BUT, (already answered), the resulting "Retail" can't update to ProWMC!!!, you loose the posibility

    I knew you can go Retail -> VL I guess never considered VL -> Retail :D

    There's a guy who told me that 180 days is only the affair of KMSpico.

    Phone activation gives you permanent activation.
    If you still have doubt, run this command in command prompts and wait for couple of seconds to get the result via Windows Script Host.

    slmgr /xpr ;)

    OK and thanks. Mean that a Retail or a VL is always activated permanetly by phone. Exact ?

    Is there a way to convert a Retail in a VL ?

    Yes, phone activations are permanent.

    Yes, you can simply convert Retail to VL by using gVLK.

    Is there not a ei.c...file, or something like-it to convert for making a VL or Retail WIn 8.1 ?????

    If you have already installed it, then simply changing the key changes the licensing channel.
