windows 8.1 settings help pls

    Hi community,
    when i change something in windows, like, turning system restore off, turning windows sounds off and other settings...they are not lasting forever, windows changes them back to default every time i restart. It's frustrating to change them every time i sit on my pc. any ideas to make them permanent? sorry if this is a n00b question. i'm using windows 8.1 pro+wmc from MDL esd repository with kmspico 9.3.1.

    second question is how do i turn off superfetch permanently? i did it via "services" but it's returning after some time.thanks in advance.:D

    a KMS-WMC situation might show such behaviour but not positive on that

    Try creating a new local user account and see if the same thing is happening. It could be a corrupt user account.
