Okay, so when i activated using a KMS emulator, windows 8.1 became unavailable. Now I really want windows 8.1, but if nobody has a solution, it's all cool. Sorry, i'm a noobling.
you say that after using a KMS activation, system get unavailable ? Then you want 8.1? Here I am very confused to be honest
Oh, after using the KMS activation, I can no longer view the 8.1 update in the store. I have tried changing settings in the KMS activator, rearming the windows activation, rebooting, and i STILL cant view it. I have tried to reinstall the updates, but no luck.
which KMS tool did you use? Blabla above, sorry: you cannot retrieve store updates when using KMs activated systems on Vl channel: You must do an inplace update loading the iso and do it from inside your download folder
I guess, @SolidSnake116 is trying to say that after activating Windows 8 with KMS tool, he can not download Windows 8.1 via Store. Am I right?
Well, since you have activated Windows 8 via KMS, I presume, you don't have a legit key. To download Windows 8.1 via Store, as far as I know, you must have that key. So, if you wanna try 8.1, why don't you check link in Paul's sig, find version that suits you best and after downloading and installing it, activate it via KMS again. And if you have legit key, do it as well and activate 8.1 using it, cause update never beats clean install.
yep, that is what I mentioned above. Go and load a new 8.1 iso to you disc and install from there. no way around and reactivate with KMS tool, Done ... or do a clean install from scratch ... best solution ever
no, not W8 grrrrr If you have W8 on board activated with KMS you simply download a 8.1 with update version out of my Jukebox, install from inside your download folder and follow instructions. After this you will be forced to activate against a KMS server which is your KMS tool >done
What do you want to do? As an end result when all is said and done do you want Windows 8 or Windows 8.1?
As Paul said, you can either, download .iso run it from your system and do an upgrade, or, if you want, you can download .iso, make bootable USB and do a clean install..
That's kind a wrong information. Yes your produkt-key determans which Windos SKU ("edition" or "version") you have "licenced". To use a KMS-method of activateing (I don't know of any proper activation-methodes exept ligit ones which don't use KMS) you have a SKU which is vor VolumeLicencing. You can't do any Updates form Store with a VolumeLicence because IT-admins would go nuts if MS would allow a normal office-drone let them even thing they could do an update. So the only way of updateing a VolumeLicenced Windows 8 to 8.1 have to be done by an inplace-update like PaulDesmond already sugested. PS: Most of this information I have from this forum.
