I am well aware that Windows Pro 8.1 VL can not be upgraded to Windows 10 officially. My question is diff.

    1) Can I convert VL to Retail and then use an activator like Daz for Windows 8.1(If yes, which?) which will make it possible for me to upgrade to Windows 10 the official way?

    2) If there is a trick to upgrade Windows 8.1 Pro VL to Windows 10, I'll be glad to try it out.

    Thank You.

    1) Daz doesn't work with Win 8.1

    2) Install Win 7 - Use Daz - Upgrade.

I know. What I meant was is there an OEM Activation solution like DAZ for Windows 8.1 or KMS activation is the only way?

There is no OEM Activation solution for Windows 8.1 - ONLY KMS.

If you want an Windows 10 OEM upgrade for your system then create a 20GB primary partition and install Windows 7 - Use Daz - Create GenuineTicket.xml (as suggested by xinso) - Clean Install Windows 10 - Put GenuineTicket.xml in C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\clipsvc\genuineticket\ - Reboot - Go online & Activate!
