Windows 8.1 Update 1 will bring back a Mini Start

    It's good to be back here in MDL. I've been away from MDL since Windows 8 was released.

    There is nothing to be confused of. In the screenshot you can see I didn't mention anything about Windows 8.1 Update 1 (GDR1). The blogger who posted this first misunderstood what I said and he created all this confusion.
    And from Wzor's screenshot it's obvious the Mini Start is not there in the GDR1 build he has.

    PS: Someone from MDL told me about this thread here, so I just came in to confirm it myself.

    i think the Mini-Start will be available with the release of windows 9.......April is not that far....we will see

    Even without update1 i have a mini start. Right click on it and voilla.

    BTW the iso posted above is a 3.xx gb image, can it be used on a dutch version or ?

    The iso is not an update, it's a complete new build. MS will build an exe containing all the changes that can be installed on 8.1 installs.
