    Currently, the first Windows Update in Windows 8.1 usually takes forever. However, these updates can solve this problem. This method can be used in Windows Server 2012 R2, too.

    KB3021910, KB3138615, KB3172614, KB3173424, KB3197874, KB3205401, KB4012216, KB4015550

    I hope that it will be good when updating Windows 8.1.

    However, it seems that there is no way for Windows 8 and Server 2012.
