I have some questions, to those who know, regarding these Microsoft ISO's namely: Windows 8.1 with Update (multiple editions) (x64) - DVD (English) - November 2014 update roll up en_windows_8.1_with_update_x64_dvd_6051480.iso with SHA1: A8B5DF0B0816280AE18017BC4B119C77B6C6EB79 & Windows 8.1 with Update (multiple editions) (x86) - DVD (English) - November 2014 update roll up en_windows_8.1_with_update_x86_dvd_6051550.iso with SHA1: C7FA828E01E98B601E0ACA8019F1CB223EB23223 Aside from Core/Pro editions, do these official Microsoft ISO's also contain Pro with Media Center edition? And do the generic keys still work with it?
1. ProWMC SKU is there but its staged; you need to upgrade from Core/Pro. 2. Generic keys are accepted. Nothing has been changed.
Thanks Tito! I don't quite get what you mean by: "it's staged; you need to upgrade from Core/Pro." Do you mean that you need to clean install the Core/Pro first by selecting the Custom: Install Windows Only (Advanced) during installation, then after installation of the Core/Pro, use the Windows 8.1 installater again and then select Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings, and applications and enter the Pro with Media Center product key? What if you enter the generic key for Pro with Media Center (Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center: -JK7QT) during installation straight up during clean install? Will it install the Pro with Media Center then?
What if I follow the guide you've provided (from eightforums.com) and then when prompted with a product key, you enter the Pro with Media Center generic key, will that work then? And one last thing, can I just burn the Official Microsoft's Windows 8.1 with Update (multiple editions) (x64) ISO to DVD (with imgburn for instance) and no tweaking is required and it's UEFI bootable ready and can install in native UEFI? Is the efi bootloader of this ISO already correct from the get go (unlike with Windows 7)? Thanks Tito!
