Windows 8.2? found this link Spoiler business2community com/tech-gadgets/windows-8-2-new-changes-coming-0685920 and was wanting to know if anyone can verify this is real or not as I have not seen anything else on the matter.
yea that I had read lots about they are going to unify the stores but I'm not really caring to much about that.
same here, as a matter of fact. I had to open the store in 8.1 just now to see what it looks like heh I haven't seen it since first install.
Jan2014 is NOT going to happen. Even if they decide to make another Windows 8, which I actually think is likely because of the ambition of their Windows 9, It wouldn't be available for another 9 months at least. The author seems to site sources from other websites, and is not an actual reporter. We all know how these things get started.
this is why I asked if anyone could verify if it was true or not, as even the google search nothing similar came up beside users speculation and those where from when 8.1 was still in beta. This article was made 1 day ago so it could be true but not likely.
Not Windows 8.2, "just" Windows 8.1 GDR. Should be finished more or less together with Windows Phone 8.1.
8.2 I would suggest everyone to use 8.1 first and try to stick with it. In 2 days time there will be a meeting about XP retirement and I will be participating it. The topic is about migrating to latest operating system. Will update here in 2 days time.
cuteee obviously didn't read the previous page where he stated what happens in 2 days. Article is obvious click-bait containing no useful information. The moderated comment section is a dead giveaway. They won't dare publish mine.
It's not that far fetched and if true 8.2 will be more akin to a rollup-b than a real upgrade (minus the shell changes which usually mark an OS). For instance, it only took them 2-3 months to prepare roll-up-a ISO (from RTM date to GA date) and it fits in with the new rapid release cycle. If they are constantly building up-to-date ISO's every few months, maybe we no longer need to keep up with fully patched DISM integrated ISO's
under assumption user has flat+broadband connection to constantly download new rollups and if they continue 8.2 8.3 ... 8.10, 9 iso's/rollups ? - download all that crap ?
