    Hi all.

    Need some advice.

My brothers laptop is slow as hell etc, so we want to basically want to reset to factory default settings.
Ive read a a few things on it. The laptop does not have a partition with the recovery files on it, just the one C:/ partition, and he does not have any form of Windows 8 disc/usb.
On the bottom of the laptop it says Windows 8, but obviously it has been updated to 8.1.

So yea we want to be able to do the fresh install/rest and wipe everything off it as if it was just been bought brand new.
Ive read about a free program called magic Jellybean or something, that can get me the full genuine Windows key that was already installed.

So will it just be a case of getting a Windows 8 64bit Disc from some where, then do the fresh install, using the key that Jelly bean has shown me (original Key) then just be a case of doing all the updates/8.1 update etc?

    Or is there something else?

Sorry for sounding like a noob.

Thank you for any information people.

    Jamie.
