I read a post some time ago about it here, but it looks like it disappeared... basically my fifa 13 which worked smoothly on win7 is now not playable on win 8 (it starts, I can play but keep on laggin' and freezin'). Anybody knows how to solve this? In that post somebody suggested a solution... couldn't find anymore..
Unfortunately those Topic were delete on request of the former member GameDev include all of the post include those from other members. Hopefully someone could answer your question, I couldn't I'm not a gamer. Sorry.
already updated to the latest nvidia drivers... weird fact: most of the time it lags, but sometimes it goes really fast (faster than the normal game, like super-accelerated) so I suppose it is a compatibility issue, not a video driver problems or the game wouldn't go so smooth occasionally...? Just my thought...
Do you have a second video card in your system onboard? If so try to open the Nvidia Control Center choose "Manage 3D Settings" > "Programm Settings" > add "FIFA.exe" and choose and change "automatic selection" to your Video Card
Windows 8 gaming Ok you need to install the basic Direct X 9.0c Audio dll's directly into the System32 directory if I'm not mistaken since I have successfully modified my copy of Server 2012 to play pretty much any games.
even if I installed direct x 10.1? already tried all the listed solution above this one maybe the drivers aren't optimized yet from nvidia. I have to try with another game to see if it lags like fifa 13...
Perhaps I wasn't clear last time you need to insert the Direct X 9.0 C files into the system 32 manually. This includes Xinput.dll and Xaudio.dll at the very least. I had a torrent (scary I know) that had these graphic dll's in it which I manually inserted into the system32 folder which fixed the issues I was having with Orgin saying license invalid.
