Try this: h*t*t*p://w*w*w.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/win8togo A flash drive works but USB drive is much better. I have done it with Win8 CP and it works great. So far it boots on 3 very different machines and works great. Better than a PE disk.
There is a feature in windows 8 enterprise verison called "Windows to Go" that can create a live windows to an USB storage (min. 32Gb required)
