it's the same crap,vl or msdn...

 

VL means volume license. MSDN means MicroSoft Developer Network.
VL is an edition of windows that has a hardcoded KMS key into it. It's roughly the same as normal win8pro except that you cannot add WMC and has an ei.cfg set to Volume Channel.
You will get strange errors sometimes using things set to Retail on a VL edition, and vice-versa.

I'm not really sure why this guy would want a non-VL, the only free activation he's gonna get is from toolkit and it's only 30 day renewal.
I guess he could use kmspico and convert to VL, but then why not D/L VL in the first place?
I'll never understand people that don't like VL.
