the Standard version should work on legacy PC's while the Pro version has the same CPU/Bios requirements like Windows8. so for the Pro version you need PAE/NX SSE2.
Im not really familiar with WES licensing (in otherwords I am too lazy to look it up) in order to know if WES8 or WES(in general) will support KMS activation and if so how to find the WES8 KMS Client Keys. I can only guess that since KMS in general is gear for corp networks where you would have a legit kms server to manage os licensing and WES in general has a wide array of flexibility that KMS might not be doable. But then again a POS style WES device is generally on single WAN style network. So who knows. Either way I cant wait to play with it to build some mini os's for special purposes. ~MC
Tito, Only the toolkit key is perpetual. The actual activation key is limited to 180 days. Cody needs a permanent activation key.
It seems this isn't the case, because I tried to install Standard on an old laptop, and I got the same 0x0000005D error that occurred when I tried to install regular Windows 8.
Great job everybody Can we get gvlk for all Windows 8 embedded editiins? Can we get down links for Windowd Embedded 8 Pro? Is it possible to activate by KMS??? Appreciate everyone's support
