I've got a web camera pleomax pwc 3800 connected to my pc and the drivers are installed properly , but when i lunch the metro camera app. i get this black screen that says i should connect my webcam , the camera setting permissions is "on" . The funny thing is that both the desktop and metro skype application are working fine with my webcam , i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the metro camera app. but still no go , i've equally uninstalled & reinstalled my webcam drivers a million times and nothing seems to be of help.I've got this problem on my desktop pc , on my laptop with windows 8 every app. is running smoothly .Can anyone suggest how to work around this ? "cause i'm fustrated
This is a known issue on windows 8. Wide range of usb web cameras does not work on metro apps that have camera functionality. All you have to do is wait for a driver update provided specifically for the latest os. Mine does not work too.
