    Hi all,

Im sorry if this has been covered else where, could not see it though.

I have an OEM licence that I got from work with some HP machines. We are going to stick with WIndows 7 for the time being so the WIndows 8 licence is free to use.

How do I install this onto a non HP machine.

    Thanks

I'm 99% sure you can't with Win8. OEM and the bios are "married", the licensing is different than Win7.

Dam, I thought it was just each disc had its own individual key :(

embedded into the bios. I don't know if a loader could be made to make a non-win8 machine emulate that.

No as there's more to it. I come close with virtual machines, but didn't bother in the end due to the OEM keys being useless now. Just use Cody's KMS Toolkit.
