    Are you kidding?

Most user of MDL relying on "Free" versions of Windows 8, and from the rest, most of them will "Hide" their "private" system informations! So, how many would be left?

I bought 2 Win8 machines, but the ole lady wont let me pull the second machine (compaq) apart because its going as a gift for our 7 year old niece. I tried to explain that our niece wont care if I borrowed the hard drive for a good cause LOL.

Anyway, I do have the HP of course, as you know Alpha. I have handed what I can at this point to daz, would be happy to help you as well. For ohhh $10,000,000 maybe ? :p What are you looking for? hah. PM me and Ill see if its accessible

it's not license details or product keys what i'm after here in this thread!! it is just standard windows 8 oem manufacturer info like your oem logo's n stuff!! if you download the lenovo links i gave then you will have a basic idea from where to find them and gather some oem info to share!! but please don't think this thread is about wanting your oem activation info because it is not!!

Please upload OEM Source Information for HP and Compaq...I've downloaded the Lenovo files, but i have HP Pavilion and Compaq 620..

Few days back my brother went with his friend to buy an Windows 8 PC and they returned with a HP PC with pre-installed Windows 8 Core.

The most striking thing is that when it starts, instead of the Windows Logo, it has the glowing HP logo...HP had modified the Windows 8 OS for its PCs...

Also someone please clarify what to do with the OEM Source Information files...

What i know is that -
    1. We have to merge our Windows 8 ISO by Power ISO or similar softwares
    2. Extract the downloaded OEM source information file with Winrar
    3. Now we have to add the $oem$ and ei.CFG file in the Sources folder of the ISO by Power ISO
    4. Save the ISO to form a new ISO.
    5. Install with the new ISO to get the System logos and extras as it is there in purchased systems.

Please correct me if i am wrong in the above steps.

But i think, we have to apply some other trick to change the Windows 8 Boot Logo to Custom Logo.

Use Alphawave's Windows Download Integrator tool to extract the .iso file. Copy the contents of the "Lenovox86" folder found in the zip file in the OP into the "ISO" folder that Windows Download Integrator created while extracting your .iso file. Then use Windows Download Integrator to rebuild the ISO file and voila :)

You can find the link to Windows Download Integrator at the end of the OP in the stick titled "Creating-a-Windows-8-AIO-with-Media-Center-manually".
