I know this sounds crazy, but is it possilbe to install Windows 8 on iPad? Just wondering if there is a possibility.
1) ARM support doesn't mean it runs on any ARM based chip. The A4/A5 chip needs to be supported by windows, which probably won't happen anytime soon since Apple only wan't IOS to run on it. If MS supports their chips... you know apple, they'll think MS encourages to jailbreak etc (I know it's not a real jailbreak, but it breaks you out of the jail in a way). blablabla lawsuit, blablabla money, blablabla patents. 2) I don't know how it works now, but on ipods without IOS (the good old stuff) apple encrypted some bootcode at some point which caused other OSes not to run. Only in 2009 the nano 2G encryption was broken and rockbox could be installed on it, later some other ipods followed I think. But I don't know if IOS based devices have such kind of protection too, and if ipads have it this needs to be broken first before any other firmware of OS can be booted.
Yes you can. Google "OpeniBoot" and "windows". People have put win7 on the iTampon already and also Windows 8 but they are working out some issues. Windows 8 tablets are supposed to kick the iTampon3, rumor has it.
iTampon, very interesting name. Is this a new Apple product? I don't think I want to put that thing in my pocket. lol
