The "E" edition of Windows 7 were without Internet Explorer 8 because of an Europe (EU) Court ruling. Something which were in my mind just a crazy ruling because it's up to the user to use or not to use the Internet Explorer. In 2009 MS was ending the "E" editions and implemented an Ballot screen for XP and later Windows OS's.
And i thought now because of that Microsoft was now legally obliged to produce revisions without Internet Explorer installed , Maybe i'm thinking of MediaPlayer and why there is a n revision released. I always use FireFox so i'd thought i would give the E revision a go but alas i can't as there is not one.
I'm not sure but I guess it were a problem of the Court ruling and to specify the Internet Explorer in General. MS had to exclude the IE8 version and with the IE9 version the IE was back on OS with the Ballot-Announcement that it's on wish of the users of Windows to use what any Internet Browser is able to run on Windows. Sometimes Court Decisions are a bit stupid/crazy/unclear etc. while prohibit some thing and open the way in an other direction!
exactly, and thats why court ruling was valid and fair E edition existed coz (like WMP is), IE was the only browser installed/forced on WinOS with ballot user has choice what will use
