windows 8 pro vl x64 , legit or not

    hi guys, im new here.

    i just wanna ask one thing.

    i have this file : en_windows_8_1_pro_vl_x64_dvd_2971948 that i downloaded before
    MD4: 3f60eaf353d46ad73e1901c77a43a091MD5: f9ac831f06a760c722df0df34f1b9397
    SHA-1: cfcdf895679a5116f7f1c6406c20f99a1f850e49

    i would to check whether the hash number is legit or not. but from microsoft website, i can only find below version
    File Name:en_windows_8.1_pro_vl_with_update_x64_dvd_6050880.iso
    Languages:English
    SHA1:962A1D890987B5877469433928B8C8B8A3E945CD

    do i need to donwload this new one update or can i just use my old windows 8 file and install it?

    The file is legit, but its better to get the newer one because more updates are integrated in it.

    thanks for the fast response.

    but by using the older one, after i installed the file and activate windows, is it possible to use normal windows update to get all the recent updates?
