I have built a temporary gaming computer that will certainly have a lot of hardware replacements in the future. I'm wondering if anyone could give me their opinions if installing Windows 8 Pro X64 would be any use at all for a gaming rig. I've used Windows 8 for a while on my laptop when it was going through preview stages, and I never had a problem. So I'm well aware of how different and annoying the interface is going to be. But I'm also aware that Windows 8 has native drivers for my USB 3 ports which is very helpful. My specs for the temp gaming computer are: AMD FX-6100 Black Edition ASUS ENGTX460 TOP DirectCU 1GB GDDR5 256bit 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue 7200RPM SATA3 HDD Samsung SH-224BB SATA DVD-RW drive And TP-Link TL=WN751ND Wireless card 150Mbps I've spent a few hours trying to get Windows 7 Ultimate 64 to work but it keeps freezing lately. So I wonder if I should use my copy of Windows 8 pro or get a new copy of Windows 7 to put on there.
I'm using 8 on my main rig, which I use for gaming as well as work. TDU2, MW3 and Grid all run just fine.
