+1 I don't want to speak on behalf of Daz, but from his comments (hatred of Win8) and the new licensing scenario, i think he may very well skip Win8. If anyone really needs him to work on it, i'd suggest donating him a tablet
I don't know guys if you really are aware of what has to be done to ride the ball? You are sitt'n around and talkin' BS about stuff which you hardly can imagine. When the entrance is open, you can smile, but to get it open, is a long road. In terms of skipping 8, I were not so amused as this is a challenge for guys like DAZ etcetera, to show their ability. This has nothing to do with an OS that somebody doesn't like. Think ahead ...
I may put Windows 8 onto a virtual machine, but if I will attempt to activate it is a whole different story because simply put, I don't like Windows 8. I don't like it's theme, I don't like it's start menu, I don't like how applications can communicate with each other and I don't like the cloud feel about the operating system. Sure, I have ideas and special tools to give me an advantage so maybe I could come up with something if I had enough time, but I don't have the hardware to run all of the tests (UEFI) and I may not have the time anymore either. The way I see it right now is that if people like the OS then buy it while its cheap and support the changes MS have made. However, if you don't like it then stick with Windows 7 which is going to receive updates until at least 2015. Maybe then Microsoft's next operating system would be better if they listened to the public instead of their made up figures and data which has been gathered from Windows enthusiasts that are mostly tech savvy anyway
