    Hi,
Is there a fix for Windows 8 shutting down automatically after about an hour?

    Thanks!

    Power options are OK.

Maybe it detects improper activation and shuts down.

My Mother had the same, we sent her computer back to the store, they re-installed it and it hasn't crashed since.
If you can't bring it back to the store there is a special option to reset your computer, while keeping all your files,
I don't know how to do it, but I read it in C.I.O., so Bing an article named ''12 ways Windows 8 dominates the competition''.

    I hope it helps.
