Hi, My name is Abdul Azim. I'm dying to try out Windows 8. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can anyone tell me where i can download a copy of Windows 8, VHD. so i can play about with it virtually!? i really need to get a virtual copy of it, as i've downloaded an ISO copy of it and it wouldnt install virtually! PLEASE, any help would be gratefully received!
You need to install Virtual Machine or Virtual Box first. After that you could use your downloaded Windows 8 to install on it.
What is the problem with install in Virtual Machine? What is your actual OS? Have you tried the latest VirtualBox 4.2.6?
....my apologies.... perhaps i wasnt clear enough? I have Virtual PC for Windows and i've got every other virtual machine machine except Windows 8, which i really need!
OR since you mention VHD... One can create a VHD in W7 using Disk Management, its added to the boot menu & one can just boot into it like a normal partition.
ok, why cant 'one' lol drag and drop, as with virtualbox it doesnt allow me. THANKYOU ALL, I'VE CREATED A WIN8 VHD! how do i now allow drag and drop to work?
NB: As ive now created a Vhd file whilst i made a Windows 8 vhd, finally, i can use it in my prefered application, namely VirtualPC which'll allow me drag and drop! THANKYOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP, UNTIL THE NEXT TIME!
HELP! my idea didnt work, the vhd doesnt work in VirtualPC so any ideas bods? i need the drag 'n' drop facility! in Virtualbox!
