First of all thanks to all members for the activation of windows 8 trick , i got it activated for 6 months .

The problem is I cant connect to my Universities wifi ,
It just says connecting connecting , and then it says Connecting to the network is taking too much time than expected .

it connects in my home wifi very easily ,
i took it to the IT department and they kicked me out saying we dont give support for windows 8 yet .

I have also installed all the necessary drivers and stuff.

    Laptop : Lenovo G570 .

    Thanks .

Does your university use SecureW2 Configuration to connect to the WiFi?? If it does I may be able to help you. :)

your uni should have some documentation walking you through the setup process.. should be the same deal setting up as with win7

i recommend you search their website for config settings

its not just click and connect like at home, i had to setup custom certificates and select the recommended encryption schemes before i was able to connect

I dont know what is secureW2 , but ya they require me to fill my username and password to connect ,
i used to directly connect with windows 7 , just fill username and pass and boom login ,

win8 never connects , i read some where that it lacks some authentication as was in win 7 .
they dont have any docs for win8 on their website .

i will post some screenies tomorrow to help you understand the problem .
