Ok, so my mobo blew out on me 2 weeks ago, I installed a temp mobo awaiting the replacement, now installed the replacement (same board as the 1st one) and Windows is saying it is not activated.

I used the same commands that I did the first time around, which went with no problem.

This is an Asus Sabertooth Z77 mobo on Win7 x64 Ultimate.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thank you!!! :)

If u used a genuine key, phone to m$ for activation even if the mobo is the same as the one which blows up, the hardware has been changed, this is a normal situation. :)

    It was a VL key.

MS Toolkit 2.5 doesn't work for activation either.

Not a *critical* issue, since I'll be re-installing Windows at the weekend anyway, just an annoyance I'd like to remove.

I guess I can use Daz' Loader for the time being. My old BIOS was SLIC'd and thought I had loaded the same one for this, but apparently not.

If your old motherboard had bios mod i,e slic 2.1 then it was not vl key you used but oem slip key another point MS toolkit never did work with ultimate version only enterprise or professional.
