Windows AIK kit and a PE enviroment

    Good Morning all, I have been looking for a PE builder that uses the PE 2.0 kit. I have found vistape but that looks more like linux with pe files in it.

    Does any one know of a good PE builder or a ready made kit, all i really want to do is run imagex or rather GImagex.

    What are you talking about?
    What Linux with PE files.

    VistaPE project using Winbuilder is completely based on Vista WinPE 2.0
    Start reading, it never hurts to learn

    Winpe doesn't have a gui by itself, so people made their own guis and some may look like gnome or kde, but it's still 100% windows

    You can always stay with command prompt as your GUI

    Windows PE is at version 3.0 now (released with Win 7 and Server 2008 R2)

    A way to load a custom shell is to configure winpeshl.ini (starting it with winpeshl.exe) to start a application/GUI of your choice, see WAIK documentation for details
