    Additional info from MS staff:

-There will be a start button available via addon like WMC (IMHO: very good decision)

Could you please rename your thread title to "Windows Blue (Windows 8.1) will be available via Store for free"? :)

I hope, it would be perfect :innocent:

    Source on the additional info?

Extremely disappointing to see them disabling uxstyle core functionality, especially since the stock VS in Windows 8 looks like total ass.

"IMHO: very good decision" physically challenged ppl (in this case the inability to learn new things) should receive help. :innocent: But seriously, OP, whats the origin of the extra info?

wait guys how the proof will be done. Genuine 8s certainly get no problem but I could see some dark clouds coming by when system is activated other than official.
We'll see this coming fall ...

Geez, we have to go to a pl website to find halfquotes (and wrong info since they are talking about start MENU when clearly Mary Jo talked bout BUTTON) of a Mary Jo Foley article (in ENGLISH) posted 1 month ago? In any case, I ask again: from where comes this: "-There will be no start button" ?

So, it is safe to say, since ur source is someone that seems to write articles (with mistakes) based on Foley's, that it is a rumour. Right? Don't get me wrong, I would be more than happy to know that they won't bring back the stupid start b u t t o n. But there is no official words from MS about it.

Yes, that's the source of the thread title. However, as u can see, we were asking about the source of the extra bits in the original post that are not mentioned by LeBlanc on that winodws blog.

I just posted, what I've heard from the person, who I know and trust...
...when I got the question about the source, I revealed it.
...if it isn't good enough for you, just hit the back button in your browser instead leaving stupid comments here. :))

Of course nobody can be sure about anything... :)

You obviously don't know who Mary Jo Foley is. She is long time Microsoft reporter of over 25 years with tight M$ strings. She would not publish something of this magnitude if it were not true.
