@PolidelticusFire Hey, thanks for this terribly interesting and necessary information. But be nice and tell me if the nuclear war has already ended by then. I'd be a little more interested in that than the name and date of birth of the next Windows.
Most likely. Yes. They are now back to their old development/release schedule. Hope 12 is a great release.
I think that one human generation is 30 years with 100-year life, and one Windows generation is 3 years with 10-year life. What do you think?
I think it really crazy every 3 years new OS'es... Remember Windows 7 was long time and So Windows XP... SO, come on.. Just start new Windows 11! WTF? ATGPUD2003
Windows Vista (2006) - Windows 7 (2009) - Windows 8 (2012) - Windows 10 (2015) - Windows 11 (2021) - Next Valley (2024) There is no released new Windows in 2018. Maybe because Microsoft said it would continue to support Windows 10 at that time.
Support period: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 (including 8.1), Windows 10: about 10 years Windows 11: Unknown (I think that it will be supported until 13 January 2032 if "New Valley" is released.)
The support period of Windows 2000 was 10 years. However, that of Windows XP was over 12 years. (Mainstream support for over 7 years + Extended support for 5 years) Do you know why the support period of Windows XP was so longer than other Windows?
Because it was and still is one of the best OS they made and thus had a large userbase. The long ESU was because of corporate customers needing aeons for getting off Windows XP, exactly as they now do again for Windows 7.
