Windows Core Edition vs Non-Core Edition

    I keep seeing these terms, but I have no idea what they mean and what the differences between the editions are.
    Does anyone know what the differences are between Windows Core Edition to Windows Non-Core Edition?

    Actually AFAIK it is also available for Windows 7.

    Actually AFAIK Core Only versions are NOT available for Windows 7. But rather Windows 2008 Server/Server 2008 R2 Only. If you know of a Core Only edition of Windows 7 you should share it with the rest of the group. ;)
