Intel Core2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHz, 3GB DDR2-800 SDRAM and Toshiba MK2555GSX 250GB SATAII Hard Disk... Gonna play with it now!
I agree, we need to have one place for this. Now, how do you access programs that are installed on the system. I just installed office and I had to go to the install location and pin Outlook to the task bar. Navigation on this OS is a bit difficult to say the least.
So far it's horrible here, installed on my Lenovo W520 and the NVIDIA drivers cause the system to lock up, typical NVIDIA.
What I found is when on the tile screen you have to scroll your mouse wheel and this will bring the apps over that are the right.
Here two things: How do you Zoom out in the Startscreen to name and re-errange groups with Mouse+Keyboard (no touch) How do you Pin Programs/Links you did not install (Portable programs)? :\
they fixed skype, and the volume bug errors and the firefox crashing error, to enable the latest ati driver u need to enable 3.5 framework, it works perfectly once youve done that, only problem ive had is on start up the screen was black and didnt show the login screen soo had to re-boot
There seem to be still quite some bugs, hangs and glitches in this build, but that's okay since it's still pre-beta. My biggest concern right now is how to close Metro style apps? Some of the preinstalled games play sounds in the background even when the app is not visible, so there definitely must be some way to close them.
When I boot from DVD, and choose language and click install, it says something like: "X:\Windows\system32\credui.dll isn't supposed to work on Windows"
None of the tiles do anything for me. Like IE will start from the desktop but using it from the start screen does nothing. Also, clicking on Control Panel Brings up the blue screen with the gear icon but then it just stays on the screen it never actually opens the control panel or anything. Could it be because the resolution is 1024x600 and not 1024x768? Or is that just for the two apps at once feature?
Same. metro programs cannot be stopped with regular methods. I'm not able to close them unless I use task manager.
